Walking along Main St. yesterday, I noticed some work has been done in the old Juicy location at 502 Main. There is a sign on the door stating the space will become a non profit organization called Ten Tents.
Among the objectives listed on the notice on the door:
- multi purpose art-lab for emerging & underrepresented artists working on paper
- produce gallery shows
- maintain a reading room
- grow a permanant collection
- establish an art materials fund
- create a "cabinet" of work by artists working on paper, including photography.
The website, tentents.org is not yet operational, but I'll be looking for more info.
