Dia Director Govan goes to LACMA

The Los Angeles Times reported Friday, that Michael Govan, director of Dia has been named chief executive officer of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Govan, who served as the head of Dia for 11 years, and orchestrated the move to Beacon, was among 26 candidates being considered for the post. On Thursday, in the NY Times, Carol Vogel, alluded to negotiations between LACMA and Govan.

The LA Times states that Govan my enter his new post by early March. If true, that seems like a remarkably quick change over---East Coast to West Coast in Thirty days, and there has not been any time to begin the conversation regarding effect this will have on Dia.
