Karlos Carcamo at Jersey City Museum

Karlos Carcamo will have an installation included at an exhibit opening Feb 2 at the Jersey City Museum. The exhibit, "Surveillence" will be on view from Feb 2 - Aug 20, 2006
Opening Reception: Thurs. Feb 2, 7 - 9 pm

Surveillance hopes to explore various facets of the contemporary blurring of boundaries between public space and private life, between what is visible and invisible, between the observer and the observed.

Karlos Cárcamo has create a new text-based work for our front window. Playing with historic texts that have been widely translated, the artist has frequently worked with poetic phrases that gradually turn from English to Spanish or vice-versa.


Location:
The Jersey City Museum is located at 350 Montgomery Street in Jersey City in the Historic Downtown District, within walking distance of the Grove Street PATH and Jersey Avenue Light Rail stations and a 20 minute comute from midtown Manhattan.

Directions:
Path Train from 33rd Street and 6th Avenue toward Journal Square. Exit at Grove Street one stop before the last stop, Jounal Square.
